GREAT VOW
Awakened Zen Master Thich Dieu Thien fully Awakened in Suan Mokkh International Dharma Heritage in 2001 and established the Universal Door Meditation Center in Sugarland, Texas, USA in 2003, the international headquarters for the Great Vow to awaken the world.
In 2004, while traveling in Hawaii, Awakened Zen Master Thich Dieu Thien spontaneously met Awakened Zen Master Thich Thong Hoi, who also fully awakened in Vietnam in 1979. Instantly realizing both lived from the same Great Vow and Awakened Source, the Awakened Ones joined together to awaken the world. In 2013, Suoi Tu Meditation Center in Dallas, Texas, USA was established and now Thai Pho Mon Awakened Center, Thailand in 2025.

FIVE AWAKENED NATURES
A fully Awakened Zen Master, known as an Awakened One, is distinguished by the Five Awakened Natures. Once they become enlightened, fully merging with the Awakened Source and liberating the original attachment of the source of delusion, the Five Natures appear and continuously emminate as a Pure Awakened Essence which embodies Infinate Wisdom, Boundless Compassion, Endless Awakened Tools, and the Great Vow to Awaken all sentient beings, regardless of background, gender, skin color, age, culture or religion.
PURE ESSENCE
Awake Essence is the pure, bright, vast, complete, boundless energy source; it is formless, unlimited, light, fresh, and free.
THE GREAT VOW
At the moment of Awakening, the Awakened Zen Master saw that all sentient beings have the capacity to Wake Up, but do not know, and forever and ever, drift in the cycle of birth and death.
INFINITE WISDOM
The infinite Wisdom of the Awakened One is capable of thoroughly seeing each person for who they are, illuminating and unlocking their human mind to Wake Up and fully liberate the attachment to the human system.
BOUNDLESS COMPASSION
Seeing all beings immersed in illusion, drifting in the suffering of birth and death, naturally arises the boundless Compassion in the Awakened One to help all beings.

Awaken the Buddha Nature in all sentient beings, leading them to ultimate truth and ultimate peace by helping them break through illusions, realize their true self, and live with wisdom, compassion, and complete freedom from suffering.

At the moment of Awakening, Awakened Zen Master Thich Dieu Thien instantly realized that every sentient being has the capacity to awaken, yet their Buddha potential has been obscured for countless lifetimes by ignorance, greed and hatred. Both Awakened Ones stepped into the world to awaken the Buddha potential in those they meet and guide all beings back to their True Awakened Nature.
Until Ajahn Marut met the Awakened Zen Masters, his lifelong, heartfelt Vow to establish a meditation center for the Thai people had not been realized. In 2018, Ajahn, a Senior Buddhist monk, felt an unshakeable trust connecting to the Awakened Nature of the two Awakened Zen Masters and ultimately their Great Vow.
Ajahn Marut, a Senior Monk at Suan Mokkh Temple, met the Awakened Zen Masters in 2018 and felt an unshakeable trust when connecting to the Awakened Nature, and ultimately the Great Vow, of the two Awakened Zen Masters.
Six years later, he joyfully offered his ancestral land to the Awakened Ones who were seeking a location in Thailand for a new center. The Awakened Zen Masters verified his vow, acknowledging the land embodied Ajahn’s vast, open heart for awakening and together they established Thai Pho Mon Awakened Center.

Awakened One Thich Dieu Thien has been awakening countless disciples and students, opening their wisdom mind, cutting through their stuck points, to realize, experience, and merge with Awake Source, and right there, the source of ignorance, delusion, and attachments falls apart.
Numerous Awake seeds, symbolizing the Awake potential within each sentient being, have been sprouted with the direct guidance from Awakened One Thich Dieu Thien. Through various forms of Wake Up meditation, activities, and projects in daily living such as sitting, walking, eating, interacting, and working, each student nourishes and cultivates the Awake seed within, in every moment. With the purpose to fully Wake Up and liberate original attachment, each student actively stands up, checking-in and asking for guidance. From the Five Natures, Awakened One Thich Dieu Thien thoroughly sees where each student is, purifies and continually upgrades them to the next level, until fully blossomed.

With every alms round, the connection between the Sangha and the villagers grew naturally.
Even without fully knowing our path, the local people felt the warmth and clarity of the Awakened energy from the Awakened Ones. They began offering food, transportation, and materials from their hearts, while the Thai Pho Mon Sangha shared guidance, meditation, and the Awakened Light with many. A sincere relationship formed as more villagers visited, practiced with us, and felt supported by the Awakened presence.
From this foundation, we now look toward developing these two acres into a true place of refuge: a Main Hall, meditation areas, residential space, and kitchen for all who come to practice.
Historically, Awakened Centers have been supported through the heartfelt offerings of those who truly value Awakening. Every contribution realizes meaningful merit as the resources given build a center filled with Pure Awakened Essence to support the awakening and liberation of countless sentient beings for generations.
From this foundation, we now look toward developing these two acres into a true place of refuge: a Main Hall, meditation areas, residential space, and kitchen for all who come to practice. Awakening is the direct return to our original Awakened Nature. It is seeing clearly the truth of who we are, the suffering created by our False Self (the ego), merging with the Awakened Source, liberating the cycle of birth and death collapsing the human system, with the three Dharma Bodies and Five Awakened Natures appearing to live in Paramita Wisdom and help sentient beings awaken. Awakening to become a Living Buddha can only happen through the direct, ongoing guidance of a fully Awakened Zen Master, which includes Waking Up the Buddha potential within each person, the true self within that knows Awakened Home. Awakening is the path of Ultimate Truth.
Awakening is NOT a spiritual practice. Spiritual practice is what people do to manage themselves to become more stable and aware, using meditation, study, mindfulness, and different techniques to calm the mind, relax the body, learn, seek peace, or grow. Spiritual practice helps settle down the ego to better enjoy and live life, but it still reinforces the ego as the false self with the self-proclaimed purpose of “I am practicing.” Spiritual Practice can prepare the conditions to Awaken, but cannot cause Awakening.
Awakened Retreats are for those seeking to explore and ultimately merge with Awakened Source and liberate the cycle of birth and death to become a Living Buddha. Becoming Awakened is a dynamic, spontaneous ongoing process dependent on the conditions of each individual person and their direct experience with an Awakened Zen Master.
